On this page we are going to give links to the websites of Spiritualist Churches that are easily accessible to York people. It must be borne in mind that not every Spiritualist Church or Centre has a website, although the larger churches tend to have one. The fact that a church or centre does not have a website says nothing about the warm welcome you will find when you go there, so nothing can be inferred from the fact that a church or centre does not appear in this list.
To find out how to contact an SNU church or centre that is outside our area, or without a website, see the SNU links under "Links to Links" in the right-hand column, or go to the SNU website.
We will link first with the websites of churches local to York, that York people might wish to visit.
Then we will look at the websites of some churches just beyond the local area, that are still fairly accessible to York people.
Please remember that the real value of a church or centre is not in its website, but in the people it contains and in the services and other activities that go on there. You can only discover that by visiting the church or centre. For a full list of SNU churches and church websites in the UK, please consult the SNU website.
Besides giving contact details and events information, church websites can help spread the good news of the survival of bodily death, as well as give you the encouragement, hope and comfort that is part of the message of Spiritualism. They can encourage you to visit them when you are in their area, which is what we would all like you to do, so please don't overlook churches and centres that do not yet have a website, or who are outside our area and not in our list.
For all the links given on this page, please contact the relevant church or association, and not YSC, for further information. Thank you.

Other Spiritualist Organisations
If you know that the church you want to visit is a member of the Greater World Christian Spiritualist Association, you can go here to find a list of their churches. Their nearest church is in Clarendon Road in Leeds.
The Association of Universal Healers and Spiritualists is based in the North-East of England. It has several affiliated churches and groups. Click here for their list. Their nearest churches are in Hull and Sheffield.
The United Spiritualists oganisation is a religious body that supports the work of affiliated mediums, healers and ministers on their chosen spiritual pathways within spiritualism, of spiritual communication, healing or ministry. It provides a quality framework, including guidelines, publications and supporting services within which individuals, churches, centres and sanctuaries can continue their good work and improve standards. The uniting factor is a Spiritualist belief. Click here for a list of their affiliated churches. Their nearest Spiritualist church is in Filey, and meets in the Evron Community Centre in John Street.
There are organisations like the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain in London, and the Association of Spiritualists and Healers in Birmingham, which have only one venue.
There are several Spiritualist churches in the UK that, like Fir Tree Spiritual Centre or the church at Harrogate, are independent of any Spiritualist organisation. It is usually easy to locate their website if they have one; a Google search should locate them. E.g. A Google search "Spiritualist church in Harrogate" will quickly bring up links to their website.
Even if they have no website, they are often listed on various Spiritualist, civic and group listing sites, so search fof them in Google in the same way.
